The table below covers iBOLT services only. An organization seeking the integration of SharePoint to JD Edwards or to JD Edwards, for that matter, is well advised to consider an approach that both solves the connectivity challenge and provides a foundation for future integration projects using a SOA methodology. A SOA approach leverages the manipulation of metadata and avoids the frustrations and poor maintainability of manually programmed interfaces. In general, the iBOLT Services have less to do with connectivity to proprietary software or technology protocols and standards and more to do with service-oriented architecture or SOA capabilities and other fundamentals of business process integration and orchestration. We now move on to a review of iBOLT Services. In our prior discussion of Standards Based Integration components we discussed an open approach and provided details of iBOLT components in a table.
